Matchams

Matchams

11th April 2008

Friday 11th of April Phoenix paranormal was invited to join in with a very unique area to investigate. We were asked to help out the brilliant Twilight shadows of Salisbury with an investigation at Matchams Race track near Ringwood and how could we refuse that?

Wessex Paranormal also joined us so off we went all the way down to Matchams (Ringwood) to help Twilight to this brilliant investigation location that will be hard to beat.

I managed to squeeze us all in my car and off we drove to our destination. We all met up and descended on some porta-cabins that are said to be haunted and started our vigil there. (Yes, I did say porta-cabins) We split up and sat in the two rooms. Maria started to asked out to try and get some energy going. It was very quiet but these things do take time to build up. We started to feel like the energy was charging up and some people said that they had experienced headaches that suddenly came and went in these rooms. A few orbs were captured but not much else. Chris said he felt that a gentleman was present and that he felt great pride around this character.

We decided to move to the control tower. Here I felt very disorientated in the hall when we first walked into the building and some of the team went into one of the rooms over looking the race track and myself and sharon went into another. I did not feel uncomfortable in any of these rooms that looked over the race track. We moved to the end room and immediately I felt giddy again. We discovered that someone had died on the race track infront of us a few years ago and some members of staff have had experiences where the lights on the track have turned themselves on and you can see there is nobody around to do this as the switch is right in the middle of the course.

Next we took a walk into the woods to a lake that no wildlife is said to thrive. It started to rain though so we decided to move to a building that used to be a pub but is being refurbished. The staff said there has been incidents where the door has been shutting itself but I was not convinced it was paranormal and more to do with a through draft being created by the main door being missing and creating a vacuum.

We then went back to the porta cabins. Here some of the team attempted using a ouija board. They did get a person through and the alleged spirit did get information asked correct but for sensitivity for family remaining I will not disclose what was revealed.

As we had a very long journey home (which was made even longer due to a satnav system that lost the ability to navigate!!) We decided it would be a good time to wrap up the evening and head home.

I would like to say a great big thank you to Maria for inviting us to this great location and to wessex for helping make this vigil although quiet on the paranormal side, an extremely fun one.
